European Textile Fair 
"Be Creative"

The 1st European Textile Fair – Be Creative – will be held in Antwerp (Antwerp Expo) from Thursday 12 to Saturday 14 June 2008.

THE FAIR’S OBJECTIVES: MODERNITY & NEW IDEAS

To develop the creative, fashion and interior design aspects of textile-based leisure activities.
Modernising the world of textile, in particular through fashion.
Embracing & even anticipating the latest trends: authenticity, know-how, recycling, mixing materials, new technologies, etc.

Some 90 exhibitors from different sectors such as :

PATCHWORK : Traditional patchwork revisited and integrated into the art of textile thanks to new materials, quality recycling, etc.

SEWING : Fashion, design, personal touch through the a choice of fabrics and materials: fashionable organic fabrics (linen, cotton, hemp, com plastic), technology (retractable, thermal, elastic fabrics), creative fabrics (new weaving, new materials), etc.

EMBROIDERY AND THE ART OF NEEDLEWORK : Cross-stitching, traditional embroidery, lacework, etc.

KNITTING : Traditional knitting given a new look, with an approach where the materials and their mix are key elements. .

DECORATION : Interior design, renovation, garnishing etc. Importance of home furnishing fabrics.
